Fun in Florida

I recently got back from a WONDERFUL trip to Florida, my second home! I LOVE Florida!! The weather was perfect & being there with friends was the best part of all!! It is such a special time for me when I get to go & visit my friends that live down there.

I got to stay with my friend, Teonna Glidewell. I was down there for a week and during that time I got to go jetskiing, go see a movie, go shopping, go out to dinner with Travis, go out to lunch several times with girlfriends, stay the night with other girlfriends & just chit-chat like all girls do...here's a small glimpse into all the fun that I had while I was down there!

May Day!

I love the first day of May and here's the reason why. I dont' know if anyone else has a family tradition on the first day of May, but my family has grown up with the tradition of delivering May Day baskets to our friends and family. There is only one sibling of mine that has carried on this tradition and is faithful to deliver a May day basket every year. This year, LaRona has passed on the tradition to her daughter, LaRena.

This morning, our doorbell rang at 7:30 and we recieved, yet another May day basket. But what made this year's stand out more than others in the past was the special deliverer. Take a look!

Showered with Love

A big "THANK YOU" goes out to my cousins, Shauna and Rachelle, and their mother LaDonna, for hosting Rochenda's "FAMILY Baby Shower". Their theme was sports; decorations were adorable and the food was scrumpcious!! We had such a good time celebrating the life of Baby Keaton and catching up with all our relatives.

A visit from Lewiston!!

After a wonderful weekend with family up at our condo, my sister Valerie and her two children drove back down with us to stay at my parents and I's home. They were able to stay for about a week. I got to spend a lot of time with Brooklyn, which was extra special for me!!!
During that time, Brooklyn and I played school (Brooklyn was the teacher, of course); we had movie nights with popcorn; "manicures"; and, shopping trips to the pet store. But probably one of my favorite memories with Brooklyn was the night that she and I had a slumber party in her bed (on the floor). It was probably the best night's rest I had in a long time; the reason I say that is, there is nothing like saying your bedtime prayers with a child or having them hold your hand all night long or them tapping your shoulder to see if you are still awake...the trust that they have in you-irreplaceable!!!!
